Strongest Roof

Superior, Inc. was a dealer for another manufacturer who allowed us to put our name on those bins. We began manufacturing our own bins in 2008. With the very high winds we have experienced in the Dakota's, many of the roofs on the earlier bins have failed, but NO Sperior roofs have failed. Anyone can claim they have the strongest roof, and many do make that claim, but what details go into the Superior Roof to truly make it the strongest farm bin roof on the market?

  2. The flat portion of the Superior roof panel is corrugated and has a formed drip edge at the eave. These features stiffen the panel and enhance wind and snow loads.
  3. Wind rings tie the roof ribs together and force the roof to act as a single dynamic structure. This can only be accomplished if the individual pipe pieces are locked together with a clamp and then secured at every rib with a locking bracket.
  4. Other manufcaturers connect the pipe pieces with an internal sleeve which allows the pipe to pull apart. Allowing the pipe to slide in the bracket, and not locking it down on every roof rib, makes the wind ring ineffective as observed above.
  5. Multiple breaks on the peak ring add strength. A triangle is used to reinforce the larger peak rings. (42'-48' Bins)
  6. Lesser peak rings fail to perform.
  7. The sidewall to roof connection is accomplished by this continuous eave angle. It evenly spreads the roof load to the sidewall. The
